Please help ~ does anyone know where I could buy some SEAS 21 F-WBM H170 8 ohm bass drivers ? The SEAS website says they are discontinued and no longer available.

It's the foam surrounds that have called it a day so alternatively does anyone know where I could buy new surrounds instead ?.

Thanks in advance.........

Thanks David ~ Wilmslow didn't have the correct SEAS units but do have Vifa unit which is a very close match to the original SEAS TS parameters & £76.00+ VAT each. I'm trying hard to keep to to the original Duntech specification so also looking into replacing the foam surrounds on the original SEAS units. Thanks again.

Give World Designs (an Arena Electronics brand) a call:

Great guys all that work there - SEAS stockists and distributors - REALLY helpful :-)

Good luck and let me know how you get on!!

Cheers

ETA: It won't be on the website but they could well still have some in stock!

For reference ~ if anyone out there has a pair of treasured speakers where the foam surrounds have seen better days and you can't source new drivers then you might want to try these guys over at Great Yarmouth. They look like they will be able to repair virtually any driver from any era. http://www.audioloudspeakers.co.uk/boultons.shtml

A bit of research on the net shows these SEAS 21 F-WBM/X drivers were also used on Impulse H1 and H2, SD Acoustic SD1 and by Duntech / Dunlavy Audio. Shahinian Hawks also used a mildly modified version.

Suitable equivalents are http://www.seas.no/index.php?option=com_content&am...
