help me settle an argument

Hi all,

There's an argument going on between myself and a friend, regarding which of two television brands is the 'best'.

One of us thinks that Samsung make the better LCD televisions, whereas the other thinks that Sony make the better LCD televisions. One argues that, whilst the sound on the Sony models is better, the colour and general picture quality is not as good as the Samsung. The other thinks that the Sony wins out in both categories.

Thankfully we do both agree on a few things. Firstly, that on a pound for pound basis the Samsung offers more for the money than Sony, and secondly that Panasonic beats both Samsung and Sony.

Any informed help would be great on the matter, regardless of whether I win or lose.

Yup, in my opinion they drive them better too so sony get a better picture out of a samsung panel than samsung do :P

I'm talking about televisions made in the last couple of years, right up to the newest models from each brand.
