Turntable help

Hi guys,

I've been looking for a cheap turntable for a while now and the other night I managed to procure a Sony PS-T33 direct-drive unit for 25 quid, in good condition, on ebay. Does anyone know anything about these? A Google search proves fruitless so I guess it's of an 80s, or even 70s vintage. The rest of my set up is shall we say, antiquated (Meridian 206 CD, Audiolab 8000A amp, Castle floorstanders), so it'd fit right in.

I'm not bothered how good it is really, as long as I can listen to some good ol' vinyl

I wouldn't say your setup is that old. The Audiolab is still being produced and the Meridian is still sought after. I wouldn't expect the Sony to be as good but it should play your vinyl. A quick search revealed that any parts you need are still around if a bit difficult to get hold of.
