Recently I have noticed a green line on the screen of my Panasonic Plasma (TH-50PZ70B), bought under a year ago.

(Inputs are: DVB Freeview Built in via Coax Aeriel/PS3 via HDMI/Wii via Component/SNES, N64 via Scart/PS2 via S-Video)

First noticed it exclusively during playing the PS3 via HDMI. It would go away if you switched TV on/off. Now it has begun to appear during normal DVB/Freeview watching.

To look at, it appears to be no more than 1-2 pixels wide on the extreme right hand side. I initially thought it was a shadow/optical illusion due to sun/lights in room but definately on screen now.

Any reasons why this maybe?

This sounds familiar - IIRC, there is a hidden service menu that you can access to adjust the screen. Can't remember what the remote button combinations are - have a search of www.avforums.com for advice.

It may be you can adjust this green line away, or it may be faulty. Not sure, but I bet avforums can help.

Cheers

ETA - I have a 50" Panasonic Plasma and I have used this engineering function.

That's why I only bought mine when Panasonic were offering a free 5 year warranty.

Is the John Lewis guarantee/warranty the same?

Have it is very good - difference is you deal with John Lewis - I'd give them a call if I was you.
