I'm about to fly the coop and move out on my own, so I need a TV for my new flat, and also need some help on choosing.

Not entirely sure how far away we're going to be sitting from the set, but probably ~10ft I'd imagine.

Have a budget of around 700-750 ideally, and would preferably like plasma over LCD. Oh and anything about 42" would be nice.. it's a big room, so anything smaller would look odd.

The set would be for watching some Sky HD broadcasts, occasional Xbox 360 use, but mostly SD stuff. Oh and Blu-Ray stuff on occasion.

I am liking the new LG LH 95.

Aparently the thinnest TV around.

All I hear about is the new generation Pannys which look a bargain.

Or alternatively, if you can find one, the Pioneer KRL37 (I have one) - LCD but superb.
