So.....

I bought it Dec 2007.

It died April 2008 and I got it replaced.

The replacement died last night.

It's just outside the manufacturers warranty and was bought from Comet. Any thoughts on where I stand?

Sadly this sounds familiar. It happened to my dad twice. In the end he sacked it in and got Sky+

Is it a Thomson DTi6300? If so then it was a software update that killed it, and you need to re-format or do a software revert.

If not then I haven't got a clue.

I only bought one a few weeks ago on e-bay £44.00 inc elivery 1 year Top up TV and Setanta. Good value as long as it lasts a year

I've gone through the format procedure 8 times now with no joy. Maybe a call to Watchdog?
