What was the first option?

Seriously, stick to known brands, they are nearly always better in the long run.

Sendai frown the previous owner of my 156 put one in , it was truely dreadful as the radio distorted on anything but the best possible signal. The CD replay was OK but you can get much better by buying catalogue returns or even second hand on e-bay. I picked up a JVS BT11 with Bluetooth for £54 on e-bay, a great improvement. Anyone want an as new Sendai ? Still under warranty

I'm sort of confused about why folks would buy no-name car radio/cds anymore - ten years ago a decent one would have cost you the price of 5-6 tanks of fuel and it was easy to see why people who aren't especially bothered about quality went for something significantly cheaper; today you can pick up base model Pioneer units for 59 or 66 euro or a similar stupidly low price, so what's the point? It's not like the bargain basement brands offer more features at that sort of price, either.

There is one in a car being broken and I was offered it for free, the rest of the set up was high quality stuff but I'd never heard of Sendai so I didn't know if it was some obscure top end jap stuff. Cheers for the replies,
