Just bought one of these, spent 15 mins setting it up and have to say...

My god, it's brilliant !

Only issue I had was with setting the correct input on the Amp to watch TV, the help took about 30 secs to fix it and that was it.

If you have loads of remotes (like I did) get one of these - seriously, you won't regret it.

I've got one too, have to agree it's a good bit of kit. Even got my living room lights working from it, although haven't bothered to sort out the dimming of them yet, sure it must be possible.

I have spent a damn sight more than 15 minutes configuring it! It's the only all-in-one remote which I want to use, and also has wifely approval.

Wife approval was the main reason I bought my One. I got sick of the moaning about having to use 3 or 4 different remotes and then trying to explain why the volume wouldn't work from one or the other remote.

Once the activities are sorted and the delays adjusted it has been a pleasure to use. The only issue I have is when switching from "Watch TV" to "Watch TV with Amp", as both activities use the 'Tuner' input on the TV, going from one to the other means it flicks from DVB to Analogue.

Think it does.

My one is in the cupboard as although a brilliant piece of kit and very clever in it's set up, it does not account for having kids.

So if you hit the macro "Want to watch a DVD" it depends on everything being off, which would be alright in bachelor world, but as the kids may leave the DVD on and the Telly off yet the Sky+ is on standby, it confuses the Logitech.

I'll hide it from any divorce lawyers and then it will be remote heaven.

They'll control practically anything.

Sky has some gotchas though as the boxes dont have discrete IR.

They're a good entry into unified control but they're not in anyway comparable to the Pronto Pro range, especially when coupled to the serial extender.

You can check for compatibility with all of your components here

You put the config software on your PC or Mac and then select which TV, STB, Amp, etc you want to control and it will automatically set up all of the buttons with the corresponding action.

It works on the concept of activities. So for example, I have Watch TV, Watch TV with amp, Play Wii, etc. It then selects the correct inputs on everything and in the example of Watch TV with Amp, means the volume controls the amp but everything else controls the TV.

You can still access the controls for each individual device and can still map custom buttons/actions if they haven't got it pre-setup. So far I have only had to do this for one action.
