Cheap, functional LCD TV

I need a new 19' LCD TV for the bedroom with the ability to play recorded DVD's.

I got burned on the last one I bought, the tv was fine but the DVD player rubbish, it would overheat when playing recorded discs and judder badly.

I dont really care about the nth degree of picture quality, I just want the cheapest LCD TV that actually does what it says on the tin.

My search has thrown up Matsui and Daewoo so far.......any comments on these ? The online reviews are useless.

LG are probably the cheapest quality entrant to the TV market.

Do you want the TV to actually have a DVD player built in? If that sthe case then you wont find a decent one from any of the market leaders. It will be some really cheap Chinese tat. Advice would be to hook up a reasonable quality DVD player with any branded 19" telly.

Yes, I would love the telly to have the DVD player built in.

Being a bedroom unit, the whole AV setup is very "lifestyle" and I have built a slimline mdf unit with a concealing mirror, cubbyholes in etc to house it.

The actual telly is on a spring loaded arm to it can be easily swung out to any position.

To wire a dvd player in as well is more hastle than I really want.........

Samsung are now offering a slim, vertically wall mounted Blu Ray player for around £230.00
