You can't get HD on an ariel so would need freesat, just get them to replace your v+ box it may be dodgy.

Freeview needs a good signal so doubt an internal ariel would be good enough.

Can't believe this hasn't been moved yet by the PH PA's, but I'm about to do exactly the same as I'm fed up with Virgin, it is terrible.

Getting some help in the Home Cinema area if you want to have a read, I'll let you know how I get on

Ivge drawn the conclution that freesat is better than freeview. You get more channels, you have the ability for HD if you want it and if you already have the dish up you dont need to pay for an install. ~(im yet to come across a freview box that dosent need to reset twice a day)~

I have an original OnDigital box and have only re-set it three times since I bought it ! My Sony Freeview HDD recorder system has been running for 2 years without issue. I have to say that with a decent ariel I have been able to get good Freeeview reception in an area where according to the web site you cannot get it ! I have almost given up with Sky Freesat as I cannot get the dish aligned well enough. It worked OK to sart with but the slightest movement in the dish and the signal is lost frown

If the V+ box is hanging, you don't have to put up with it. Unlike $ky, you never own the V+ box, you rent it - if it's not working properly, call them and get someone out to look at it, or replace it. Make it Virgin's problem.
