Due to a change in living arrangements it looks like multiroom is on the cards to save me from having to watch Ben10 on a Sunday morning. rotate

Currently I have Sky+ in the living room, a magic eye in what is now the lads room, and old skool arial TV in the master bedroom.

Plan is to continue with Sky+ in the living room, multiroom Sky in the lads room and freeview/magic eye in the master bedroom.

Wondering what the best way of getting this is, I'm pretty sure i will be needing to add the £10 month Mulitroom option to my sky bill but do I actually need them to connect it all up? I've got a spare standard Sky box, would this work in the bedroom if there was a cable from the dish?
I'm thinking due to all the other wiring issues I'll be better getting a local TV man to do the cable work all in one go rather than pay the Sky man £50 for a new box and another £60 to wire it up and I bet he'll not want to touch any of the other cables. scratchchin

As long as you've got a quad LNB its just one or two cables to the new box location, DIY.

I beg to differ....there's ladders involved. wink
Is spotting a quad LNB straightforward enough? It was put up when I switched to Sky+ a year or so ago. scratchchin

So are we saying I don't even need to tell Sky?
Just drop a cable down from the dish plug and play? scratchchin

For £60 including parts and labour then thats a pretty good deal.

Our multiroom + magic eye installation used about 30m of each cable.

Sky sometimes do free or half price installation for multiroom. Maybe worth waiting for an "offer" ?
