Having an odd problem on my Sky+ box.

Last night, I noticed that there were 4 programmes all set to record at 9:00pm. Fortunately I noticed this before they started recording, as I suspect that none would have recorded - which would have really hacked me off. Thank God for the +1 channels.

I wrote that off as a one-off quirk.

Tonight, I see that I had 3 programmes to record and another 3 to record at 9.

Anyone got any clues to the cause of this? Before, if you went to record a 3rd programme at the same time, it always gave you a warning, and asking which existing programme you wanted to cancel.

The programmes set are normal programmes - not ones whose times have changed, which I could understand causing a conflict. But not in this instance.

Odd, should give you a warning.

Have you tried, to see if it works? (Could 2 be on the same Mux? - would that work?)

if not.. I'd just reboot the box.

Yeah - it really puzzled me.

I'm going to do some testing later - when nothing is recording. I'd rather not face the wrath of Mrs. K for not recording her faves.

But later I'll test if I can deliberately set 3 programmes to record at once. And then give it a reboot and test again.

Actually - I'll also check whats on series link - and see if I still have 4 for next Thursday night, and 3 for 8 and 9pm next friday night.

Unless you've series linked something that has been off TV for a week or so. It won't plan series link recordings until a week before and won't warn you then if something crops up that clashes.

Yeah - I get that - and think I've had that before, and as a one-off - I'd understand. But to have it 3 times in 2 nights - different programmes, different channels. And I'm talking mainstream stuff here - not anything on the more obscure channels.

I've checked the recording schedule for next week - and it's normal - no conflicts confused

I would say see what happens in the next week. TV schedules are pants and you might have been unlucky with changes.

Must keep Mrs. K happy anyway - how is the lovely lady?

You're not far off the truth, had to buy my first ever 34 inch jeans the other day. A very sad moment.

On the plus side, Podie, our brand new Steak and Ale pasty is the best thing we've ever done, out in the shops 29th April!

It happened on ours last week too, as Hells Kitchen didn't add the link until the night before. Fortunately we have 2 Sky+ boxes, so a bit of planning fixed it smile
