My understanding is that Pioneer are withdrawing from plasma market.

I am looking for a PDP-LX5090 .... preferably for less than £2k ? Somewhat frustrated thse were c.£1700 several weeks ago but now seem to be £2k+ - I guess as retailers stocks are fast depleting

Re ... Are withdrawing/have withdrawn .... Pioneer still listing & promoting Plasma's on their UK website

Re D/D, yes I have bought from Der before, but there are currently no Pioneer Plasma's listed on D/D website

I bought one from Richer Sounds, Reigate 4 weeks ago (plus a 20 quid pedestal stand) for £1,700.

Edit: just checked - they still have them but now £1,850...

Suggest you drop them a line, they may have options...

Pioneer are going to stop making all televisions. There is still stock forecast though and we should see plasma's in store until late August early September. The stock of all Pioneer models has been very tight and will continue to be until they run out. I imagine a lot of retailers will stop advertising them soon as it becomes harder to get stock. As for less than £2k, there may be one or two but the street price is a bit higher due to a recent price increase from Pioneer.

I bought mine from Richer Sounds on Monday for £1799.

Well, I say bought.... they took my money but I'm yet to receive it and they are unable to give me a delivery date!!!

The reason you arent finding them sub £2K is that there has been a huge price hike in the last couple of weeks.
