I've got an LG 550TB

Is it possible to connect this to a pc ?

I have 6 speakers that all go into the dvd player. And then on the back of the DVD player there is this ...

On the back of my pc I have 6 ports

The back of the SUB there is nothing.

I assume I need something to go from the DVD player to the pc ?

Thanks for any help !

You can just get a jack to 2 way phono cable (or whatever the technical terms are) wink

On of these ?

I have one of the above, connected it into L R audio into the back of the dvd player then straight into my green aux port at the back of the comp.

Didnt work frown

3.5mm to 2 phono lead, available eveywhere.

Unfortunately, no "proper" surround for you via that setup, but will still sound great.

I don't get it, is this realistically going to work?

Play a song in itunes, it goes through the DVD player to the speakers ?

How is that even going to work confused

Well, it just does.

When you tried it before, I know it sounds silly, but did you switch the DVD player to Aux?

ok good and bad news.

The good news there is some sound coming through.

The bad news is that it is extremely faint. I can just about hear it .

I've had it before, and just learned to live with it - just turn the volume up for one input and down for another.

The sound is reallllly realllllly faint. As in I need to press my ear up against the speaker just to be able to hear it .

Looks like you have an optical output on your pc. You may get better results with this.

have you got the jack in the green socket?
Have you set the pc to "stereo speakers" as an option in control panel?
Guessing you need "av in" on the dvd-amp unit.

Don't play with wires when it's all turned on / up loud tho - might make a huge noise =)
