It depends where they live and were the TV is located.

My son in Clapham can pick up CBeebies with a rabbit ear aerial behind the set.

Walthamstow.........TV is upstairs........2nd floor

So there isn't a handy gadget to allow this to happen - it will require a roof aerial?

I actually have a roof aerial in my house supplying 4 TV's. Works good as was initially a temporary measure but has become a long term one!

Make sure you have a booster for the incoming signal and a big fat f**k off TV aerial space depending! The digital TV signal is very good and like any TV signal, it does vary depending on weather.

Dear RacerMDR,

it depends...
...on a huge number of variables so try it and see - where's the transmitter, is the room facing it, how thick are the walls?

I've got a portable (14" CRT) digital telly in the bedroom on its own loop set top aerial and it works fine here but not in another house 200yds away.

Also when the analogue signal is turned off the digital signal will be turned up so to get a categoric answer you'll need to wait till then,

regards,
Jet
