TV set up questions - Apple TV, Sky HD, xbox360

Apple TV. Other than HD size is there anything different from a 40 gb to a 16gb apple tv box?
can i buy a 40gb one and just put a 160gb hd in?
Can i split the HD output and feed it to another TV
Can i do this to the Xbox?
Can i do this with sky HD
can someone suggest the be solution for my plan!:
I want to feed music into 3 rooms via ceiling speakers. Can i buy an AMP for the lounge and feed sound from sky, apple TV and the PC through some new speakers which i need to buy in the lounge. Then wonder into the kitchen but be able to "switch" over to "the Kitchen" to play sound through the speakers in the ceiling? then have a "switch" over so the music is playing in the bedroom
