You can turn off the squeezebox, but then had problems waking it back up, took an age for the handset to communicate with it again. Haven't been able to play any ripped music yet, the squeezebox won't recognise my server at the moment, think it might be a port forwarding problem with my router. Hopefully I'll resolve it this evening.
Very impressed with internet radio one though, although obviously not in the same league as CD.
I'll report back as soon as I've cracked it.

I'm very impressed. My transport cost me £1350 (with the external psu), the squeezebox duet was less than £250.
I'm going to do some extensive tests over the weekend, but first tests back to back with one track there's very little in it. A friend who has never heard my system sat in on the back to back and couldn't seperate the two.
I always thought you get what you pay for in the hi-fi world, not anymore it seems.

I'm seriously thinking about The Transporter to replace all four Cyrus boxes, but I've never EVER bought a source component without listening to it. Did you know that holding the + button adds the selected item to play next in the playlist, rather than to the end of it?

But you're right, I'm thinking about the transporter in the future just to create a less cluttered, more tidy solution... let me know how it goes if you get one!

SB+ is available on 30 day approval, great piece of kit and many reckon is better than the Transporter (and cheaper too! - I have one!)
