I'm intending to buy some headphones soon, spending about £30-£50. Has anyone bought any in this price range recently? I've been looking at skullcandy (because they look good) and Sennheiser (because I've got some in-ear and they're pretty good). I listen mostly to Electro/DnB/Trance so Bass is quite important. I'm particularly looking at the larger ones, not the little circular ones or clip on.

You could of answered and said there were no significant posts out there.

But good effort on a wasted post.

To the OP - I have listened to a friends Skull candy ones, I wouldn't recommend for dance music at all.

Never tried Sony ones, Sennheiser are the best really for that budget.

I can recommend ones with a 1/4" jack, then maybe use an adaptor?

Koss Porta Pro for bass-y stuff for me :

They are not ones for the bus as they leak sound, and unless you're 12 Skull Candy really don't look good.

If this was an important document I would be bothered.

As it isn't I'm not. biggrin

But glad you can give the OP a bit of advice.

I would stretch to £60 and get a pair of Shure SE210's. Not as much bass as some but really superb for the money. I've had a pair for some time and just upgraded but would definately recommend them. Very clear sound, you can use a lot less volume which helps the battery plus nobody can hear your music whatever the volume.

Although they're not over the ear they fit very comfortably too.

OP, please please pleas don't buy skullcandys - they look ok, but are ste.

If you don't mind big looking cans (or are a dj), try senny 25sp, akg 141/171 / K81DJ (if you can still get them, they went form near 80 quid to 45, so they are prob. sold out now)
If you're richer than you imply by your post, do "ful fat" 25 sennies / akg k181DJ / K270/271 - I now use the 181 (and still own 25sp, 25, 151, 171, 191dj). I've not tried the sony / denon offerings for a few years, but wasn't a fan of the sonys I tried, and the only Denon ones I've seen have been beow my budget).

For in ears, listen to other posters - Sure e2c is awesome, but I got JBL in ears and never felt the need to move on from there.

these seem cheap enough from a decent brand, although i've heard of these being sold for £15 before Christmas.
