Haven't seen this one asked before. So what TV has the best freeview guide & speed of changing channel?

I find changing freeview channels on the outlaws 32" Samsung a nightmare, with the Samsung dvd/hd recorder's implementation even worse. Reasoning about your choice appreciated.

How quick do you need to change channel? smile

I think all of them are less than a second or so!

I think Panasonic is about the best I've tried, simple to understand and quick.

I agree the user interface on Samsung TVs is just terrible - slow and not user friendly. I think having a good UI should be more important to TV manufacturers than it currently seems to be.

Well as long as none of the mag and website reviews ever really takes it into consideration, it wont really be an issue. Just look at the overwhelming numbers of posts on this thread of people expressing an opinion on what makes a good interface.
