Confusing title but here goes...

As posted in the P&P, I was thinking of getting a new aerial installed as having moved into my new house I find the previous owner had SKy and the terrestrial aerial is analogue.

Other have advised getting Freesat which I can plug the Sky dish cables into and away! Questions:

1) If I get a non-PVR Freesat box (as they are bloody expensive) will I be able to connect a Sony PlayTV (PS3 PVR) to the Freesat box to record stuff ok?

2) Which Freesat box is best value at the moment?

3) A Freesat box in my lounge will not help me get TV in the bedroom. At present I have an interior aerial connected to my DTV which gets no signal whatsoever!! How can I overcome this?

Cheers!

The aerial isn't analogue. It just picks the signal up, because the Current Freeview signal is transmitted at a lower power than the analogue one you may need a better aerial to receive all Freeview Channels until the Analogue signal is switched off. The Freeview channels will then be "ramped" up to the same power levels as the old Analogue signal. Have you tried a Freeview receiver and seen if you get a signal? The best Freesat box is the Humax. It also allows you to "override" the Freesat settings and receive all the channels transmitted from the satellite that Freesat transmit's from.

If you fill out the details on this page, tick the box "I am in the aerial installation trade" and you will get a lot of detail about Freeview reception for your home.
