What turntable thread?
Discussion
I'm sure the direct USB jobbies from Maplin etc will be fairly dire quality.
In the past I've digitised records from a 'normal' turntable using an output from the amp into the soundcard of my PC, and hitting 'record' in Soundforge, but it took some fiddling about and I can't remember exactly how I did it.

Iv'e seen the ones you can transfer to your pc via usb but im debating whether theyre actually any good?
Ideas anyone?
ION unit seems to be fairly well reviewed. Always wondered if its actually cheaper just to buy the CD for those you really want to listen to. Most decks are around £200.00 [ the copying variety] so if youre paying a fiver for the CD then you could potentially get 40 !and yes i do know it is 2009 of the 21st century!
