The author compares them to Kimber 4TC which I think is a great cable and retails for about £38/meter.
Using 3 runs of Cat5 gives you 24 cores so should be plenty for to carry decent current to the speakers.
EDIT: Yes, I use this for my centre speaker and when I move and require longer lengths to my fronts, I will replace my Kimber 4TC and 8TC with the FFRC Cat5 or maybe even the UBYTE cables if I can source the long lengths of heatshrink required.
