SC-LX81 media capabilities
Discussion
Anyone got one and use the media player part of it?
I'm planning to get one to join my soon to be here 5090 and bdp-lx71 (any news on delivery yet Simon?) and want to use the media player via LAN to play FLAC files from a NAS. So how is the interface, is it user friendly? Also is it possible to play media files from the amp display without having to turn on the tv?
I know it won't be as good as a Squeezebox or other dedicated media player however I think I'll have spent enough for the moment.
Can anyone suggest a good set of Speakers for the set up, I was thing B&W 600 series or the Dynaudio Excite. Again these will be purchased at a later date.

The network function is alright but for the price of a Squeezebox / Sonos you will get a much better result. As for speakers it depends on what you want to do. For music as well as movies we have put a great deal of systems together with the Tannoy Revolution Signature range. If you want movies and plenty of bang for your buck then the Dali Lektors/Ikons will see you right.
