HDMI adapter - any good?
Discussion
Not necessarily much use to you but I currently have the Joytech 3:1 one, which was cheap and has a rather neat 1m long cord for its remote sensor. It's been good for the past couple of years, but now doesn't seem to respond as well and as I have a remote that uses macros that's a real problem.
Currently thinking of replacing it with this one from Maplin as it also strips the digital audio to an optical lead which I'd like to feed into my A/V amp. Unfortunately it doesn't mention the remote lead so will probably have to be on show.

I got a lot better remote response when I used the mains adaptor rather than getting power from the usb port or my Sky box.

Wife has found it! We will see if it is better, but so far it doesn't seem to be much better. Thanks for the advice though, I hadn't thought of changing the power.
