Blu-Ray recorder??

DVD recorders have been around for some time now and are readily available and inexpensive.
To the best of my knowledge there is no such thing as a commercially available Blu-Ray recorder.
Anybody know why?

I believe Panasonic are releasing one some time this year, so I would assume the other big players will be as well.
