OFCOM were not going to free up any bandwidth and instead have opted to transmit in DVB-T2 which will require many to replace their STB's. The launch location is the Granada region this year sometime. OFCOM have since indicated that they have found a channel seperate to the standard Freeview Channels that will allow London to go HD in 2010.
