Folks,
I'm after some audiophile help and would appreciate thoughts re the following kit:

The Onkyo CBX-300 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Onkyo-CBX300-All-Audio-Sys...

The Roth Audio Alfie [urlhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Audio-ALFiE-integrated-Speaker-System/dp/B0017XS6BY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1234185042&sr=8-1[/url]

My requirements are obviously for a nursery, so:

1. Ear-splitting volume and thumping bass not required - sound clarity more important.
2. Needs to take up very little space, hence no separates - 'one box' only.
3. Needs to be roughly the same budget as above, hence no Bose Wave System!
4. Needs to play MP3's

Oh, and even though both have an iPod dock, this isn't really required...

Thoughts appreciated folks smile

Thanks!

Well if you're running a PC all the time there's always things like this http://www.slimdevices.com/pi_boom.html which I'm told sound good.

Have you a list of features needed?

Nothing complicated, primary requirement is to play mp3 cd's and that's pretty much it. Ideally it would be small, a decent brand of course - one box solution seems to be the best way forward I think. The Bose Wave thing is ideal but incredibly expensive and not as nice to look at as the Onkyo.

Nice, but I'd need additional speakers - which is a pain - thanks though smile

Space premium is key, hence looking at the 'one box' solutions as opposed to amp + speakers
