KRL 37 and PS3 connection - no video?
Discussion
Hi all,
Just took delivery of my KRL37 from Mr Ders (thankyou!) and it looks great. Watching the rugby now....
There is a bit of pixelation/grainyness on long-shots but I assume this is my signal?
Anyway, the main question is - I have connected my PS3 to the TV with a HDMI cable and I get sound but no video. What am I doing wrong?
DON'T WORRY, I WAS JUST BEING IMPATIENT!

Not knowing the spec of the display, is it capable of acceping different rates, or does it need to be set to a specific one?
Is your HDMI cable rated to carry 1080p?
Just have a flick through the settings on the PS3 to confirm there's nothing obviously incorrect.
Do you have another HDMI device you can test the input with?

Dont worry Ed the 60hz refers to the input signal from the PS3 the 100hz processing is
automatic. When playing Blu-ray discs make sure the PS3 is set to 24hz (24fps)
the differance is astounding.

Many thanks for all your help during the buying process.
I am over the moon with my set - it is excellent. I put Finding Nemo on earlier on DVD and the colours are mind-blowing!
Any general tips as to how the picture should be set up as I read on AVForum that the default settings are not the best...I have reduced the backlight and brightness and upped the contrast a bit....
Any titbits as to what you would do to make it look even more magnificent would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Ed
