I've got a Sony STR DB1080 amp and I'm running Heybrook HB1 (8ohm) front speakers. I'm just setting up the EQ for stereo music (non-surround) and I have the option of setting the speakers between 99hz-1.0khz on bass/mid and between 1 and 10khz for the treble. They also have db settings but I can work that out. What would guys reccommend I set the hz/khz at. I'm a bit of a dummy at this so be gentle with me! wink

Why not listen to it at what your comfortable with, no matter what the settings. Your preferred sound may be a lot different to someone else on here. If the system is giving you both, then clearly both are fine. Good luck.

AFAIU the bass crossover is if you are using a Sub, you aren't (assuming you only have a pair of HB1's) so if you enable this you won't get any bass below the threshold you set.

I'm lost as to the reason for the treble frequencey unless the Sony supports bi-amping speakers with different channels?

Anyway I haven't owned a Sony AVR, but from an uneducated point of view I would leave the full frequency going to both speakers for stereo and disable these filters.
