HD Recorder for Virgin digital?
Discussion
My sister has Virgin cable and wants to get hard drive recording capability in a box that will also allow her to burn DVDs.
Apparently the Virgin (V+?) box doesn't allow you to write to DVD and she isn't keen on the monthly subscription either.
Questions are:
- Is it possible to take a digital output from the Virgin box and connect to an HD recorder?
- Failing that is composite/scart an option?
- Any specific recommendations for a particular product? £200-300 I'd guess - TV is HD so upscaling would be a bonus alongside a decent (320GB?) drive and of course DVD recording (Blue-Ray definitely nice to have).
So, what are her options?
One for the PH collective I thought... over to you!
