Is there a way I can use the TV remote to operate the separate amp that it's connected to?

It's a pain having to pick up another remote all the time to mute the ads.

Is it possible to buy a remote that operates everything?

I am thanking you, as ever.

Google Logitech Harmony

Thats your entry point into the market.

Goes all the way up to £15K 17" touchscreens.

So plenty of choice.

If you have a sky box then I'd recommend the Harmony 785, as it has the dedicated red/yellow/green/blue buttons

I have a Harmony 785 and it does everything I want it to. Very easy to set up too.

I've been using a Harmony 1000 for a year or so, it's been pretty good, but it's always been buggy and doesn't offer as much customisation as I would like. What's the next step up remote wise, and are they still configurable by the home user?
