The 6000s are active speakers taking a proprietary din type plug (power link) and needing to be plugged in to power. Active speakers have their own amplifier so it would not be as easy as using any old amp. (not impossible either)
I would ask the seller what they had them paired with as they might have another bargain for you.. For me, I'd be looking for the BeoSound 9000 (6000's on left, 8000s on right)
If not, an Overture or similar.
I am biased because this is my generation of B&O when I used to install their systems in late 90's/early 2000's.

For £100 they're well worth buying but remember they only have two 3.5" bass/mid drivers and 3 litre net cabinet volume. If you want thundering bass or epic volume levels, they're not for you!That said, they are very nice sounding speakers. Mine are in the dining room for occasional music - I'm catching up on Radcliffe & Maconie on 6Music as I sit here and they make a very enjoyable noise.
As mentioned, they are active (built-in power amplifiers) but they also have a line level input socket so you can run them from a normal preamplifier and you're not tied in to connecting through B&O's proprietary 8 pin DIN 'Powerlink' sockets - this can be done but unless the leads are wired and earthed correctly, you can get hum. If you do go for them, Steve at Sounds Heavenly is the chap to speak to when it comes to connections - he's a very nice chap and he has forgotten more about connecting B&O to other B&O and to anything else than most of us have ever known!

As h0b0 says, though - a matching B&O system is the right way to go. Be careful, though, B&O buying is a slippery slope...
B&O tend to be very smooth sounding.

You can use something like a Chromecast, WiiM streamer or even just a phone plugged into the 6000s. I always paired them with a small sub like the BK 8" or Rel T5 or similar.
Being active when the bass is taken care of you can end up with a very impressive sounding system for pocket money now.

Make sure you do plenty of due diligence of the seller before parting with your money. There are lots of stories of scammers trying to sell B&O gear in the B&O facebook groups. OutInTheShed said:

^^ This. A loudspeaker is fundamentally a physical machine with a lot of flexible components which can get stiff or floppy (Oooh, Matron!) with the passage of time.On the other hand if they're cheap enough and you're happy with the sound, who cares?
By the way - Wiim streamers are bargain of the century.
