Those Tannoy Canterbury corner speakers are now fetching upwards of £25K yikes I had a pair of lowly 605's and regret giving them away to this day!!

That video is great. Filmed back in the day when the BBC did some pretty interesting unique programmes.


I remember going into HMV and Our Price (I think it was called) and buying 7" singles and LP's, great memories. I guess as we get older we all think modern music sounds "the same" After watching this video next to it was another "The real reason why analogue recording is better" I work in broadcast engineering so I thought i'd watch it.

The video isn't about sound quality more about the methods of recording and the chap hits the nail on the head. It's funny how recording engineers strive for the perfect sound as well as the people on the streets who consume the material.
