When we moved in a few years back we were given a Klegg m6 501 setup.

It’s been a decent enough introduction to surround sound.

Good points: the little egg speakers are cute and in obtrusive.
Down sides: it’s a big laggy compared to the screen

So options…. Buy another Klegg, but it’s cheap and old.
Option two buy a sound bar
Option three buy an AV receiver and use the Klegg sub and speakers then perhaps upgrade if needs be.

Anyone fancy schooling me on what I’d need? I’ve got a couple of hundred in pocket for eBay treats post Xmas

Option 3 imo. Something like a denon 2300W used

Another vote for option 3 from me.
I have had a couple of Denon AVR's, the first sold after ten years to make monies to fund the current one, bought second hand.
Particularly like their Audyessy room eq that makes the best of the speakers attached.

Cheers boys. Picked up a denon 2300 and speakers off eBay for £250. Looking forward to getting it set up
