Hi, I am after a 43” ish tv set for in front of my gym equipment to ease the boredom. Don’t want to spend more than £300 preferably that will include the wall mount so let’s try and keep less than £250 if possible.

Would like it to have amazon fire tv apps as it will mainly be ised to watch ice hockey on through the NHLtv app.

And therefore the biggest need. It needs to be good at motion. I would far prefer 1080p and be smooth and 4k and jittery as hockey is a fast paced game.

I have seen the tcl 650 on amazon and the amazon fire tv’s themselves for around the price point i am after. Is there anything else i should be looking at?

Thanks for taking the time to read and have a great day.

The picture on the fire tv is disappointing, plus i wouldn't want a tv with the os based around a fire stick, as they do become much slower as they age, and the flash memory wears out. I would go for a tv with as litte smart tech in it as possible and get a decent fire stick.
Hisense usually have decent picture, as long as you avoid the roku one

Will start looking at hisense ones as well.

Not overly bothered if it only lasts a few years as my assumption is a garage is a fairly harsh environment for a tv and will probably only last a winter or two anyway due to cold and damp.

Bought a cheap TCL Roku TV from Amazon for occasional use in the conservatory, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was for the price.

The conditions shouldn't be an issue, I've had Sony TV and Chromecast in my unheated draughty garage for about 10 years with no trouble.
