Bought an LG C3 OLED last Xmas. Cost about 1k I think.
V happy with it, picture is great and colours really pop. Not mad on the clunky LG smart OS but Samsungs are no better and a fire stick sorts that out for not much money.
For 2k I'd get one of those and a decent soundbar. The sound out of the box is fine but that's where the obv improvements can be made imo.

All OLED TVs use the same panels, so at a similar price point, all brands will have very similar performance. The differences will be in operating systems, connectivity, audio, Ambilight etc.
Unless you are able to do side by side comparison in your own home, you won't be disappointed with any >£1500 55' OLED.

I’m looking to buy a new 55” TV. Any recommendations please?
What sound system are you using? I would go for a C4 LG OLED, best value for money out there, and if you want a 55" for £1100 spending double won't get you much extra. Maybe a better sound and slightly higher HDR levels, but even with them side by side you need to be looking.
At the moment B&O have the Stage soundbar down from £1800 to £1100. These are designed to work perfectly with the LG OLEDs, it is what B&O use on their panels, it just makes integration a bit sweeter with control signals sent over ethernet rather than HDMI.
For £2200 you have a cracking all in one system.
If you have a decent sound system, the TV at £1100 odd is a no brainer.
I've been running a 65" OLED B series for several years now and it is as stunning as the day I bought it. Software is still up to date, HDR is stunnig. I run with ALL the effects off. Smoothing, sharpening, etc etc. So at the end of the day its just the panel I'm using.
Can't fault LG, and I can't say the same for Samsung who are quick to drop software updates/support.

Careful though, I bought a 65" LG C7 about 4 years ago. It lasted just over a month and started playing up.
LG were sodding useless and the retailer refused to replace it so it went off for repair (2 man collection and redelivery from 40 miles away can't have been cheap) and I was "sans TV" for a few weeks.
I dare say the size of these things is not conducive to undamaged delivery but LG were totally useless. In fairness, it has been reliable for the past 4 years and the one dead pixel it seems to have had from new has not got any worse.
I wouldn't use the retailer in question ever again but maybe I was unlucky there (bought online).

I’ve always found the picture on Panasonics really great; there is 55Z95AEB (2024) at John Lewis for £1999. It uses their Master OLED Ultimate Panel and has integrated sound bar / Dolby atmos. I’ve got the 2023 version and it is fantastic.
You would find it great. Its an LG 55" panel ;-) for £2k.Dolbt Atmos? It outputs Atmos, but does it come with rear and height surrounds? It really isn't "Atmos" other than in license. You are far better off spending £800 less on the telly and use that money on a real sound bar with sub and at least rears.
A while ago I'd have said get an AVR with all the speakers, £800 would have easily done it, but the pricing of AV Amps now is plain stupid as no one wants them over the convenience of sound bars.
