Can anyone offer some advice?

I've had this projetor for a few years but never used the Wifi facility as never had need to. I want to check for software upgrades and, importantly, stream things to it.

I have a working WiFi dongle in it but when I go to the WiFi setup screen and try to switch it on via the on-screen "slider" button just just flicks immediately back to the "off" position.

Has anyone had similar issues with Optoma projectors and have they managed to resolve them?

Is it an actual Optoma dongle or just a random brand - I have experienced it before where devices will only accept a particular brand / type of dongle

IIRC the Optoma dongle only works in one of the USB sockets.

Have you switched 'wifi' on in the network settings?

It's not an Optoma dongle but I think it came with it when I bought it. The projector was an ex-demo one when I got it so I guess they may just have chucked in one they had lying about. I'll get the Optoma one and see if that works.

Many thanks!

Yes, there are two USB sockets, one for WiFi and one for Alexa.

It's definitely in the correct one (not the Alexa one) and whenever you try to switch on the WiFi with the on-screen slider it immediately flicks back to the off position.
