Howdy all, we're looking to get a TV for our bedroom and wanted people's opinions on the TCL range.
Firstly - Big TVs in bedrooms = chavvy. Yes I know, but sometimes we want to watch TV in bed, and no one else uses the bedroom expect the wife & I.
Secondly - This obviously isn't the main TV, we have a 55" LG C2 in the lounge for when we want to watch films etc, so not too fussed about best possible picture quality.
With that in mind, I've found this 50" TCL for just £350:

50" is probably on the large size for the space, but it's only £50 more than the 43", and we'll be sat/lying 3m+ away from it.
Thoughts?

I bought a 43" TCL a couple of years ago as a secondary TV and was realistic what I'd get for just over £200. It has Android TV built in and works flawlessly. Picture can't compete with my OLED in the living room (blacks especially), but I was pleasantly surprised how good the picture is, especially with streamed 4k content.

Another choice (admittedly £100 extra) is the 50" LG:https://www.richersounds.com/lg-50ut91006la/#tab-r...
The £100 buys you a locally dimmed screen, which I hope/assume would help with the poor black colour issue
I bought a TCL C805 back in November, and couldn't be happier with it. Easy to use, fantastic picture quality, sound I can't comment on as I use standalone speakers.
What I will say is that my first one had one very prominent dead pixel on it, however I spoke to my supplier (Hughes) and they replaced within three days and zero arguments. Amazing customer service, so I'd heartily recommend them to buy from. Richer Sounds are also excellent though.
