What amp do I need?
Discussion
I've just purchased a Heos Superlink on ebay, the plan is to set up some fixed zones (ceiling speakers in the kitchen and some outdoor speakers) to free up my current Heos speakers for other areas.
So I need some sort of 4 channel power amp (I only plan to use 2 zones initially), I know they exist, but I'm not really sure on the terminology or the recommended brands/products. Happy to buy used kit on ebay, ideally looking to spend in the region of £2-300.
The superlink has 12v triggers on the zones, so I assume getting an amp with this is going to help with the power bill and stop any background buzz when nothing is being streamed?
I'm planning to put the Superlink and amp in what used to be the airing cupboard and can easily run speaker cables to there, so looks etc aren't important.

I'm pretty certain there are amps specifically designed for this use case, particularly with the remote trigger for each zone.
I don't really want regular power amps on 24/7 with a background hum, or having to go and manually turn an amp on after telling Spotify to steam to one of those zones.

A remote 12v trigger input on a power amp is pretty much standard. You'd be hard pressed to find one that hasn't. I don't really want regular power amps on 24/7 with a background hum, or having to go and manually turn an amp on after telling Spotify to steam to one of those zones.
