SONOS- BBC sounds reauthorize account by updating S1 app
Discussion
Tried to put get into usual daily listening this morning on BBC sounds getting message saying that .need to reauthorize sounds but that one or more of sonos products. Please update your system and reauthorize your account.
System has 5 speakers 3 play 1 and 2 play5 all now classified as legacy products but still work well with S1 app. As I understand it if I upgrade the app all the products will be bricked as mot supported by s2 app.
Replacing all 5 speakers going to cost £600+ ,but most of my radio listening is by BBC sounds. Use Deezer for music
Anyway to get round this?

Just about all my Sonos stuff if S1 (legacy) stuff and I have no intention of replacing it (except poss Playbar) and everything works fine via S1 app. You don't need to go to S2 at all. BBC Sounds, Spotify etc etc all work via S1. I've got BBC Sounds on while typing this.
On the Sonos S1 app on your phone, go to Settings, then Services & Voice then BBC Sounds then Reauthorize Account. That just opens Sounds and you go from there

If it helps also running only “legacy” Sonos now using the S1 app with a Playbar and an original Play:5, other than a few niggles with streaming every now and then on the Play:5, everything has been fine on Spotify and TuneIn radio. Am using the same version across the app and the devices… 11.12
