Wireless Speaker system - multi room

I've a couple of JBL Charge bluetooth spkrs - they're ok if within a few feet of each other; The limitations became evident when i wanted to try to get music into 2 rooms and they just lost connectivity.

So: Normally my 'go to' for small'ish speakers would be active monitors, we're not about to do loads of wiring as we're in rented; Trying to find if there's a simple'ish way to achieve this kind of set-up:

All music played from PC ( ie/ its 'on' the PC).
transmitting from the PC to 2 sets of active speakers that would be in adjacent rooms.
If such a 'thing' exists would need to be able to transmit to 2 wireless/btooth receivers which in turn would be connected (wired) to the active monitors.

i've managed that with 1 bluetooth 'receiver' - a logitech device which feeds 1 pair;
the range is poor as its not straight line of sight - although distance is about 5m; so thinking that if there's a 'proper' wireless option might be better?
But the other part of the equation is being able to send the signal/music to 2 diff receivers. Doable??

thx Mr Pointy,
those are a bit 'system' oriented, wanted to try to find adapters to just use iwth existing speakers etc...

have ordered a transmitter/receiver from Mii; in theory its supposed to be wireless vs bluetooth, and supports 2 different sets speakers - reviews are inconclusive, so 'we'll see'

I use Google audio Chromecasts, these have been discontinued now, but are still available second hand.

You can add multiple devices to a speaker group all connected together via Wi-Fi and "cast" music from any source on your phone / tablet.

I have also added a WiiM Pro device to the same Chromecast network group, and this works very well.

WiiM Minis look to be the best replacement for Chromecast Audio, but they are more expensive.

I also use Chromecast Audios. Not always 100% reliable, but that might be because one of mine is connected to a WAP in the outhouse.

Not sure how much they are now on the 2nd hand market but they were a fantastic, cheap bit of kit that allowed you to choose the quality of your equipment, so long as it had an aux/rca input.

For example, I have mine connected to a Cambridge Audio hifi amp, an AudioPro speaker in the kitchen, a Denon mini system in the bedroom and a tiny portable speaker.

Since I massively upgraded my network my CCAs have been absolutely reliable and I use them pretty much everyday.

TBH for buying now I'd actually recommend the Wiim devices, the Wiim mini would probably be fine for your purposes.

How much were Chromecast Audios? About £20. £80 for that Wiim seems expensive.

There's a Chromecast Audio for sale on FB for £80 & on ebay they sell (ie completed sales) for £45 to £75. £80 for a new device doesn't seem too bad compared to those prices.

Wow, I could actually make money on technology for the first time in my life!

When you see how much Sonos are charging for the Port then yes, £80 is cheap.

I have CCA's as well. Brilliant
Hopefully google will create a replacement one day... although I doubt it as they want to sell the google home's and stuff instead!
