New Smart TV - how do I connect to media server?
Discussion
Just bought a new Panasonic TV to replace my old one which sadly died. New one is great, TX - 50MX600B, but I cannot work out how to connect to my media server.
On my old tv, in the apps section, there was an option to browse to the media server.
I could install Plex, but my server is running 2012R2 which Plex does not support. Do I need to upgrade my server?

In the absence of Plex you could try Emby as it's similar to Plex, I use both but prefer Emby for my own content, and most TVs will have the Emby app. Both give a much better UI than just browsing to your server. On my old tv, in the apps section, there was an option to browse to the media server.
