I have the following;

- A couple of Sonos one speakers in bedroom/kitchen - sound pretty good for what they are
- Sonos Arc and Sub in the lounge - very happy with these for TV sound, they do ok for music I would say, powerful but not ultra high quality

I think I want something "better" for just listening to music properly - in the olden days I had an Arcam Alpha amp and CD player, with Monitor Audio Silver floorstanders and I just remember them being fantastic.

But I'm not interested in cables and separates etc - what I want is a great single box solution, that kicks hard, sounds high quality, and can stream Apple music. The Sonos stuff doesnt fulfil all of that.

I am considering;

- Naim Muso QB
- B&W Zeppelin
- Sonos Era 300 (despite my comment above)

I am happy with Sonos generally but I dont use multiroom really so getting something new from Sonos isnt essential.

Will the above options give me a decent improvement do you think?

As always, it depends on what you want to spend.

I’d recommend listening to the Kef LSX II for a grand or the LS50 Wireless for two grand.

I do have a mk I Naim Muso and it’s good but wouldn’t compare well to your old separates system. I replaced/supplemented the Muso with a Naim Atom/LS50 combo and it’s near perfect for me.

Just bought the KEF LSX wireless II at the weekend, seems to tick all your boxes. Got to reserve judgement at the minute tho as they will not connect to the wifi for some reason (user error highly expected here) but did remind me that with these speakers/amplification, if the net goes down I'm knackered if I want to listen to something!

Naim are doing a special offer on the Muso II this month.
The Muso is quite a bit better than the QB or B&W - nice build quality too.

Bought a Muso Qb II a couple of months ago, was on offer for £550.

Worth every penny.

They generally never discount the Mu-So, so grab one at a cheaper price. I have one set up in my kitchen, great piece of kit!
