Proac Speakers, please help me
Discussion
Until very recently I had a pair of very nice Proac Studio 150 floor standers in immaculate condition. They date back to the late 90s I think. Anyway, over the weekend my daughter had a party with a small group of friends playing very loud music, so loud I found my sub half way across the kitchen. The neighbours also complained for the first time ever so it must have been very loud.
Anyway it appears the drivers in both left and right speakers have blown. The amp wasn't happy and must have gone into protection mode as it needed a reset. Still sounds OK with a spare set of Mission speakers I've got but nowhere near as good as the ProACs. I'm so upset. Is it possible to still buy the drivers and perhaps bring these wonderful speakers back to life?

Proac are still going - I used to sell them back in the 80s before I got a proper job:

Been a busy week: Did some research and by way of recommendation, got in contact with Wilmslow Audio
https://wilmslowaudio.co.uk/ , who I’m confident can repair and upgrade my ProACs.
In the meantime I’ve decided to buy some Wharfedale Evo 4.4 speakers https://www.wharfedale.co.uk/evo4-4/ . These should be more difficult to melt and the reviews are very good.
I’ll pair the ProACs with a nice valve amplifier for the lounge.
