looking for new over ear headphones... questions

thinking of treating myself to some nice quality headphones, id like over ear ones , not fussed if cable or not, dont need any call answering or track forwarding etc

does cable offer better sounds than bluetooth?

does non noise cancelling offer better sounds than noise cancel? i wont use them for travel much so no great need for noise cancelling, basically sound /build quality is more important than dozens of features

any suggestions what to look for up to £300 ish

Have you looked at the Sony WH-1000XM5 and Sennheiser Momentum 4? Those two would be hard to beat in the 300 or under range.

Even the Sony WH-1000XM4 would be an excellent choice, and can be had around £200.
