LG G3 OLED Evo v C3 and C2

I’m looking at upgrading our excellent LG 55” OLED in the lounge due to having a media wall with electric fire installed. I’m well behind on TV leaders these days as the LG we have is 5 years old however their current G3 OLED Evo range seems well respected.

Is there much if a difference between this and the current C3 and older C2 panels?

Also I read a very positive review of the Sony X95L 65” too and wondered if anyone has one and can give their thoughts?

Watching use is mainly TV (Sky and Netflix movies etc). No gaming.

The differences between the C3 and C2 are mostly an updated webOS and audio format changes. I think the panels and processors are the same.

The Sony A95K is the current darling of TV reviewers and for good reason. Although whether you'd actually notice a difference compared to a similar priced Panasonic, Philips, LG etc....

I have a 55" C2 and it's my first OLED but it's stunning.

Impression I get is that once you get up to the C and G series it's almost turning into a bit of an iPhone game where there's a new model released every year with the difference that if you're happy with last years model you can save a lot of money.

I suspect you'll struggle to find a C2 as I had to hunt around for mine but for the 55" but if you can find one for around a grand I'd snap it up.

Thanks! In the end I went for a deal that Richer Sounds had on the 65” C3 which included an LG sound bar and a 6 year warranty. Can’t wait now…
