Best place to sell old hi-fi and home cinema set up
Discussion
Moving house currently has meant emptying the loft and I've unearthed my long forgotten Kenwood midi system with centre and surround speakers and subwoofer. All boxed with all the paperwork and fully complete.
I thought nearly 30 years ago this was amazing kit, outdated now but should still give a good surround sound, but I've no idea where the best place to sell would be so i'm looking for suggestions or help as Ebay, gumtree or marketplace probably wouldn't do this justice.
I know this isn't top end kit or manufacturer but just need some steer.

On the contrary, I find that vintage electronics do very well on ebay. Take some nice pictures of it all lit up and working and stick it up for a nice long auction. I got £18 plus postage for a broken midi amplifier with no remote, instructions or box let alone anything half decent! For the sake of a few photos it would be rude not to Who knows, it might even turn out to be worth strong money...
I will add the caveat that surround/AV stuff tends to go for lower prices than stereo.

I'm amazed at how out of touch people are with how sought after older hi-fi stuff can be, working or not.
If it's stuff that was e-waste 30 years ago, it probably still is but there's growing interest in stuff from just 20 years ago.
There are Facebook groups for this kind of kit.
It probably won't be worth much but I feel better about moving stuff on which someone will get pleasure from than just throwing out.
eBay with a start price of 99p, collection only is usually the easiest route.
I sold a non working amp a month or so ago which ended up going for over £300 which is better than throwing it in the bin.

Very much so. A few years ago when moving house I put a few no longer needed items on eBay and was astounded how much I got for old vintage stuff in good condition. One Roxan amp (that I was given for free) sold for £500 and a Sony Minidisk deck for £200, plus other stuff. I was very pleased!
