Folks, I have an odd issue with my home cinema set up.

I have an LG OLED G2 65 inch TV coupled to a Denon AVC-X4700 amp.

Currently watching the Amazing Mrs Maisel via the Sky Q Amazon prime app.

It is supposed to be in UHD - and does appear to be a lot of the time but some very odd things keep happening to the picture.

I'm finding that during a scene the picture will ever so slightly get smaller and then larger again, and this can happen every few seconds. So if there is a door frame at the edge of the picture for instance it will jump in about 1cm and then back again.

Once seen it can't be unseen and it does this all the way through the episode. Sometimes all the time, other times it is fine for a few minutes and then it starts again. Drives me nuts. Pausing it seems to help sometimes and make it worse other times.

On top of that the picture quality will often become really bad and then recover - usually after I have paused it.

Now it could be the internet speed (amp and Shy Q box are connected wirelessly) but I never have this issue on Netflix with UHD stuff. I suppose I should check Netflix again as I have not watched UHD content on that for a few weeks.

But I also wonder if there is some strange setting in the amp, the TV of the Sky Q box where it is trying to switch aspect ratio or something.

Any thoughts? It is driving me mad!

For me o a similar set up.

Download prime on to you tv.

Connect the amp as e-arc and play through that.

In fact everything including sky is direct to tv and the amp is the output for sound. It works well..

We had it a few weeks ago, only for the one film, and it hasn’t happened since. Just a rare glitch, I hope.
