Marantz PM6002 amp and Mission M33i speakers?
Discussion
If you were buying new then I'd say you should really get a demo. The amp has a bit of a toppy character, and the speakers are a touch forward too. Try them together but consider other combinations.
The thing is though you're not buying new. Buying used means forgoing the sort of trial by demo product selections. The reward though is that as long as the seller's price is sensible, you can sell on again at little or no loss.
M33i are reasonable speakers. They do benefit from adding some weight into the bases. Use kiln dried sand, bagged in small polythene wrappers.
Price-wise, these were discounted to £149.00. The last few pairs were offered out at £39, though I think this was just the black ash version.

Thanks, they are £50 and the amp was £100, so not exactly breaking the bank, but useful info on the bass. The thing is though you're not buying new. I’m trying to put together a cheapish set up for Mrs H to play vinyl in her studio, I picked up a Marantz PM6002 amp which has a phono input, a pair of Mission M33i speakers have popped up locally, any reason why I shouldn’t pair them with this amp?
Thanks
G
Speakers purchased and cabled up, quite impressed with the sound quality, although my wife’s turntable is proving to be a bit ropey, so back to MarketplaceThanks
