Good evening.

I am having issues with a Eumig project which belongs to my uncle. It has had a new bulb and the motor/shutter and cassette spindles run fine fwd and reverse.

The issue we are having is that in the “bulb warm” position, the bulb is dim (presume this is normal). When we select the “project” position the bulb turns off. We have tested the voltages at the bulb terminal and on warm it’s ~1volt and on the project position is reads ~ 9volts. The bulb is an 8v 50w bulb. We are testing this without a tape, does this make a difference?

Any thought would be welcome.

Thanks
TBT

Yes. Just as I thought. Quite a niche question :-)

Wow. Never thought I would see the name Eumig on here..I have a Eumig cine projector. It belonged to my late father. I kept it for sentimental reasons but reckon it will still work.

Can you post a pic of your projector? I might even have the manual for mine.

Just looked on Ebay. 502D appears to be Super 8. Mine will be a P8 8mm.

Yeah super 8 I don't have a photo of the exact one but this is identical. We have a manual but it's useless.

I am beginning to think a micro switch is bad, but I did test them for continuity. Either a microswitch or the transformer. The problem is without a schematic/service guide it's hard to know what the voltages are.

Thanks
